Stargazy Pie is traditionally eaten in the Cornish fishing village of Mousehole on December 23rd to celebrate Tom Bawcock's Eve. Many years ago, Tom saved the inhabitants of Mousehole from starvation by braving the stormy seas to bring home a catch of fish. The famous pie is baked with the fishes heads and tails poking through the crust, gazing up at the stars above.
