Stargazy pie (or Starry Gazey pie) is a traditional Cornish Christmas pie, particular to Mousehole, that features pilchards gazing up out of the pastry at the stars. The pie was made famous in the wonderful book 'The Mousehole Cat' by Antonia Barber wherein the brave Tom Bawcock sailed out in a storm to get fish for the starving villagers.<\/p>
